The Museum in the Park is a new family-friendly museum situated in Stratford Park in Stroud Innovative and colourful displays include dinosaur and mammoth remains, Roman alters, two of the earliest lawnmowers, Laurie Lee's desk, Painswick Church Weathercock and much more. The museum gives you the chance to discover about local history, family and working life in the Cotswold Hills and the Severn Valley.
Display Overview
The museum has a varied programme of events and temporary exhibitions. Previous exhibitions have included Pot Valiant, an exhibition of contemporary ceramics and Mechatronic Circus, and exhibitio of robots made from recycled materials.

The world's first lawn mowers; Roman altars from Bisley and Avening; William Hathaway lantern clocks.
