The Regimental Museum was established in 1929 and occupies part of the City Museum in Lancaster; the former Town Hall built in 1783.
Collections Overview
The collections of medals, uniforms, photographs and documents relating to the King's Own Royal Regiment (4th Foot) and constituent militia illustrate the fact that the Regiment has served all over the world and has been involved in most major campaigns.
Display Overview
The gallery was completely redisplayed in 1997 and tells the story of the King's Own (4th Foot) from its origin in 1680, Its association with Lancaster from 1880 and the amalgamation with the Border Regiment in 1959.
