Building Information
The mill was built in 1805 on what is now Lytham Green and continued in operation until destroyed by fire in 1919. It was restored by Lytham Heritage Group in 1989 to house the present museum displays.

The collections cover the general subjects of history of the local area and also the history of mills and millings in the Fylde area, including skills, crafts, agricultural industries, art of local residents and domestic and social history.
Display Overview
The Mill houses a permanent exhibition of the history of the Mill and of Bread-making and tableaux illustrating various aspects of local life including a Shrimper's Cottage and Victorian classroom scene, Lytham Beach and Pier circa 1870 and the history of the Clifton Family at Lytham Hall.
