Building Information
Grade I. The earliest parts of the present building date from the 14th.C, and there have been changes and additions through to the 18th.C. The property has been associated with the Abbey Almoner only since the early 19th.C., but its proximity to the Abbey estate certainly suggests that it must always have been part of the Abbey property.
Collections Overview
There is evidence for human settlement in and around Evesham going back to Roman times, and the collections reflect the Romano-British and saxon heritage of the area. They also reflect the importance of Evesham Abbey until its suppression in 1540, and of the market garden industry since the 17th.C.
