Display Overview
New Place, Shakespeare's family home from 1597 until his death in 1616, was demolished in the eighteenth century. Its foundations and grounds can still be seen, including a knott garden made eighty years ago. The approach is now through the adjoining Nash's House, which contains furnishings from Shakespeare's period on the ground floor and displays on the history of Stratford above.
