Collection Summary

Collection Title
Geology Collection
The museum possesses an extensive collection of rocks, minerals and fossils having particular relevance to Cornwall and south west England, as well as a worldwide collection. Many of the specimens are of historical interest, having been collected by the pioneers of the geological sciences (such as Humphry Davy and de la Beche). There are also type-locality specimens.

In addition, there is an extensive geological library and a good collection of geological maps, mainly of the British Isles.
This is a strong historical geological collection.
