unlisted. Three heated aircraft hangars of WW II vintage.
Collections Overview
The collections at Cosford form part of those of the RAF Museum at Hendon. They consist mainly of military aircraft, but incorporate the UK's definitive collection of airliners from the immediate post-war days to the present. The museum also houses an art collection, and the world's finest collection of early German rocketry.
Display Overview
The museum occupies three heated hangars on an active airfield, and also accommodates some aircraft out of doors. Presentation is through the aircraft themselves, usually shown with associated equipment, and through cased displays of smaller exhibits.
Star Objects
Liberator B24 bomber, WW II TSR2 research aircraft Lincoln bomber, WW II
