Building Information
A small 17th century manor house, the birthplace and home of Sir Issac Newton.
Collections Overview
There were no indigenous contents with the house. The collections have been acquired through loans and bequests to reflect a 17th century Lincolnshire farmhouse. Collection includes small collection of personalia relating to Newton.
Display Overview
Woolsthorpe Manor was given to the National Trust by the Royal Society in 1947. Its significance is as the birthplace of Sir Issac Newton and this is reflected in the way the house is furnished and presented. Hands on science exhibits are provided in the main threshing barn.
