The museum is housed in a 15th century manor house which was once the home of Shakespeare’s granddaughter, Elizabeth Bernard.

The collections focus on costume, ceramics, the Northamptonshire Regiment and social history.
Display Overview
The displays include an oak paneled room as it would have appeared in the 18th century. A victorian cabinet of curiosities, the story of the Northamptonshire Regiment, a 19th century fashion gallery, a gallery telling the story of the people of Northampton and a leathercraft gallery displaying a selection of leathercrafts from around the world.
