Collections Overview
The collections cover all aspects of the history of the lock making industry, including the locks and keys themselves, company records and workshop tools, equipment, machinery and clothing. A particular focus lies in the domestic and working life of the Hodson family, locksmiths form 1792 to 1970. From the 1920s they also ran a draper's and millinery shop, the contents of which were transferred to Walsall Museum and Art Gallery in 1993.
