Overview of collections

The 'National Collection of Modern Art in the North of England' is housed at Tate Liverpool, which also serves as the largest gallery of modern and contemporary art outside London. The collections are drawn from the Tate's main holdings of 60,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, prints, photographs, video, film, and works in other media that represent British art from 1600 to the present day and international art from the 20th century to present.
