Overview of collections

The Library has some 475,000 books and subscribes to approximately 1,700 journals on a range of subjects in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, and Technology to support the University's teaching and research interests. Major special collections include the British Parliamentary Papers Collection and the Local Collection of material relating to Staffordshire and neighbouring counties. The EDC (European Documentation Centre) Collection contains the official publications of the European Community.

There is a separate Health Library in the Clinical Education Centre at the City General Hospital. This is available to everyone who works for or with the NHS in North Staffordshire, all students and staff of Keele University and others with a need for health information.
