Overview of collections

A Late Victorian Tower built to commemorate Queen Vctoria's Golden Jubilee in 1897 on an Iron Age hill fort and a Norman castle site. Completed in 1899 and only open a few days a year. Inside the tower is an exhibition which tells the history of the last 4,000 years. A climb of 165 steps to the top of the towe, but the views are worth it.
