Overview of collections

19th and 20th century open air sculpture and some works on paper. Some owned by the Trust, but majority on long term fixed loans. The aim is to have an international collection of outdoor works from around the world. Nor surprisingly Henry Moore figures highly with many works south of the new Visitor Centre. Interesting new 'Walk of Art' with names of subscribers cut in a steel walk way by Gordon Young.

Overview of how collections are displayed

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is one of Europe’s leading open-air art organisations showing modern and contemporary work by leading UK and international artists. A vibrant, changing programme of exhibitions, displays and projects is held throughout 500 acres of eighteenth century landscaped grounds and in three indoor galleries. Established in 1977, this year marks the 25th anniversary and the opening of the new landmark visitor centre with a restaurant, coffee bar, shop and improved facilities for all visitorson.
