Overview of collections

A collection of 9 historic railway carriages and 3 very elderly steam locomotives, plus many other railway relics.The Vintage Carriages Trust, based on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, was founded in 1968 and its aim is to ensure the survival of at least a few of the vast assortment of carriages which once were to be found on our railways.

Overview of how collections are displayed

An award-winningcollection of historic railwaycarriages, usually with a very elderly steam locomotive also on display are carriages and locomotives that have appeared in over 30 cinema and television productions. Sound and video presentations bring the collection to life. Steam hauled trains work on the uphill journeys between Ingrow and Oxenhope.The collection tells the story of rail travel for ordinary passengers, some who will remember what rail travel used to be like. Listen to the 'Travellers' Tales' and see restoration work in progress and climb on to the footplate of a locomotive.Adjacent to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway
