The two houses were the homes of most of the leading members of the Darby family between the early 18th. C. and the early 20th.C. They are presented as furnished houses, Dale House to a date of 1780, and Rosehill House to a date of 1850.
Both houses also present a history of Quakerism, which was central to the lives of the Darby family.
